The Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia host the 4th Bridging the Gap conference entitled: Responding to Environmental Change – from Words to Deeds. It is 10 years since the first Bridging the Gap conference was organised.

GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security) ia a European initiative for the implementation of information services dealing with the environment and security. The GMES concept originated a meeting in Baveno, Italy in May 1998.
