Bridging the gap
The Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia host the 4th Bridging the Gap conference entitled: Responding to Environmental Change – from Words to Deeds. It is 10 years since the first Bridging the Gap conference was organised. The activity emerged from recognition of the importance of joining the forces of various actors (policy-makers, researchers, experts) and thinking innovatively to resolve environmental problems. In this 10-year period, Bridging the Gap has become a brand recognized and embraced by a wide network of people working in the areas of environmental research, assessment, monitoring and reporting. The conference has been supported by some European institutions (the European Environment Agency, DG Research, DG Environment and Joint Research Centre).
The conference was held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Danilo Turk. Bridging the Gap conference was attended by over 300 delegates.
